Spiritually torn

Hello Friends,
I have been struggling for a few weeks with being spiritually torn. Those of you that can offer sound advice on this one..it would be greatly appreciated.

We are in a transition period in our family and this transition is causing two promises that I made to God when I got married and had children conflict with each other. For the last 11 years they have worked in harmony and have been what I believe with all my heart to be the best thing for my family.

By trying to continue to fulfill one promise the other is now completely severed. I have prayed and prayed and prayed about it I have received peace on one part of it but not the other and that is what has me so conflicted. I have tried to voice my concerns to a few but the ones who I have voiced it to do not seem to understand the seriousness of the promises I made to God and myself.

The change is obviously inevitable and I have examined myself over and over the last weeks to make sure that it is not for selfish reasons or scared of change that I am struggling and it is NOT! I was ready for some of the change and knew it was coming and had peace about that part but more was added unexpectedly and I went through the same process that I always do when I pray for guidance and usually even if it is something that I do not want I get an answer of peace that it is the right thing to do, whether or not I want to do it.

That peace has not come this time. I know that all things reveal themselves in his time and that this could be an ultimate test but I am struggling to the point of despair that I have made the wrong decision. The second conflict comes from if I choose to take back part of this decision/transition then I am severing the second promise I made to God and for harmony of the family that is most important.

My heart aches and my mind is in turmoil, my spirit is weary. I could use prayer from those of you that are praying people and good thoughts from those that are not. I do know I will eventually come out of this but currently it is hard.

Thank you all for reading. Love to you all.
