Thankful Thursday

Good Afternoon All,
Today is a beautiful day here in Texoma. I woke up feeling refreshed and went straight outside to enjoy the sun and our garden.

Look who I found in the garden. I think she decided to move in. I found her under the broccoli. This little critter is more than welcome in our garden, especially since she is an all natural pest control.

New inhabitant of the garden.
The cucumber and bush beans are flowering along with the squash now.

So obviously this is part of my Thankfuls for today!

Today my 3 Thankfuls are:

1. Nature: Part of last weeks, the miracle that is life. The miracle that is nature is beautiful. Do you ever think how all of nature fits together? A month ago my garden was dirt and seeds with no sign of life showing. But now look at it! It is almost ready to harvest (some of it). With that small seed, I will be able to provide nutritious meals to my family and they get to see the awesomeness that is nature...lol.
The bugs in the garden all work to do their thing. Some are pests and just destroy but others like the ladybugs that have found our garden eat those pests and help pollinate the flowers so that my garden will bear fruit. The little frog that I found this morning also helps the garden by ridding it of unwanted pests.

2. Able Body: I am thankful for having an able body. What I mean by this is that I am ABLE! I am able to walk, to move, to breathe, to do things for my family, for others, for myself. Do you know how many people cannot say that? Some are struggling with infirmities that are temporary, some permanent, but I know many that do not even let that stop them. If they will not let their infirmities stop them then how can I be any less? How can I who am an able bodied person NOT be thankful for the blessing that I have to be able to do?

3. Friends: I am so very thankful for my friends today. I have had a rough few weeks with changes to our household and they have been there to encourage me. Whether it has been in an email, a call, a motivational re-post. You have helped me stay thankful. Encouraging me to stay on the fitness wagon to better my health. Letting me know I am no less of a mom by going back to work out of the house. I love you all and am so thankful for each and everyone of you.

So, what are you thankful for today? Post, comment, here or on Facebook. Let me know. I am genuinely interested and look forward to hearing from my readers.

I leave you with a quote from Marcel Proust:

“Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.”
Love to you all and have a great day,
Sharon
