Thankful Thursday (a day late) :)

Good Morning All,
Today is Friday! Yes! I hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy it to the fullest you can.

Well, yesterday kind of got away from me. It was a busy filled day and I was going to skip the Thankful Thursday post this week but I have so much to be thankful for I just couldn't.

It is hard to limit it to three things that I am thankful for, but here it goes:

  • Today is the last day of school, the kiddos get out of school today and I am looking forward to the summer with them. Their excitement this last week has been infectious and I am reminded of how I felt when I was their age and school was letting out for the summer.

  • I am thankful for employment. For those that do not know yet, I decided to go to work part-time out of the home (for several reasons) but it was a hard choice and one thing I did not want to compromise on was my time with my children and being there for my family. I was blessed with a job that gave me very close to the exact hours I wanted to work and will help me bring income to the family while still being a "stay at home" mom.

  • I am thankful for Red River Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and ALL of the families/people there. If you read the previous post from earlier this morning you may have saw at the end that I became a blubbering mess at a self defense demonstration that my son participated in last night. It was not pretty...lol. I started to talk about the confidence that jiu jitsu gives to children who have been picked on and bullied and I started off fine, then I had a crack in my voice while talking about Keonte's challenges from earlier this year. After that it was over, the water works started and I could not control them. He has changed in a great way from the 7-8 months that he has been with RRBJJ. I wish you all could be here to see the difference. I do not know where he would be confidence wise right now if we had not enrolled him, but I am so elated at where he is. If it was not for the instructors and the other families and students he would not be so happy being himself right now. Thank you to the whole RRBJJ family. We love you guys.
