Let Go and Let God!

This post may not be for everyone, but I hope you continue to visit this page. I post about any and everything that interests me or may be on my mind.

Right now, I have been struggling with stress and want to talk about that.

Stress is by definition, the physical pressure, pull, or other force exerted on one thing by another; strain.
The medical definition of stress is an organism's total response to environmental demands or pressures.

These two definitions seem spot on to me. I currently feel like a pressure is on me and it is due to the demands of our current spot in life. Everyone has experienced stress in some form or another. How we deal with it is what matters.

Some deal with it by shutting down and essentially going into denial.
Some use aggression as a release.
Some bottle it up until it manifests in become ill. Mentally and Physically.
Some handle stress with a grace that is hard to understand.

The latter is what I strive for. The only way that I remind myself to be gracious and remain thankful under stress is to remember to, "Let Go and Let God!" This is a phrase I tell myself over and over, even when at times it feels that my prayers are unheeded. I want to let you know that they are not unheeded. They may not be what we need at that time, or they may take longer than we would like, but at the sake of sounding redundant, He works in mysterious ways.

I have so much to be grateful for and so many others are in a different situation than mine that I will never be able to comprehend. I have been through stresses before that seemed unbearable at the time but are a faded memory or gentle reminder of where I came from now.

These verses encourage me when I am scared, stressed, overwhelmed, or just need a lift in spirit. I hope they help you as well.

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me.

2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

The quote above,
"Courage doesn't always roar.
Sometimes courage is
the little voice
at the end of the day
that says
I'll try again tomorrow."

is what I am encouraging anyone that has had a stressful day, month, or year to remember. If you do not give into the stress and continue on, there will be an end. You may never know how close you were to breaking through if you quit.

Not just dreams, but life!

I hope you all have a great week and that you all will remember when time gets hard, or you get tired. There is someone that cares.

Love to you all,
Sharon
