Thankful Thursday- June 6, 2013
Good Morning All,
I hope you woke up this morning in good spirits. Anytime we wake up we are blessed with another day. A day to do something better, different, learn, love, encourage others, and have fun.
Thankful Thursday is back. For those new to the blog, every Thursday I blog about 3-5 things that I am thankful for and encourage you to join me. No matter how small you think it may be it can be a blessing. You can feel free to comment here on the blog or my FB page.
Today I am thankful for:
Rain - this morning I woke up to the sound of rain. Where we live we are going through a drought and the rain is badly needed. I have always loved the rain. As a child, as soon as I saw it raining I would run outside and start playing in the rain. I have even done it a few times as an adult...lol. Dragging my kiddos behind me and splashing in puddles while running around rain soaked grass. (The first time they thought I was crazy, but they joined in and had a blast.) Those are memories that are special.
My Job - I am thankful for my job. This job was a blessing. Most of you know these last two years had been rough for us with the move. I left one job for my family and was blessed with a job that fits my family's schedule and I truly enjoy. I have amazing coworkers who are all unique and bring happiness to me in their own ways.
My Mind - I have always had a mind that rarely shuts off...lol. I love to learn. Whatever it may be, you will usually find me in book reading. I soak up information like a Texas yard in June (ha! See what I did there...lol.) I have always been a nerd, academics is important to me. I flourish when I am learning anything new. From work, to mechanics, crafts, cooking, scriptures, and especially getting to know something new about people. It is an absolutely amazing thing that our minds are capable of the things they are.
Well, time to head to work. Today, try take the time to enjoy the weather in your area, enjoy whatever you do whether working out or in the home, and try to learn something new. I would love to hear what you are thankful for and hope you join me in Thankful Thursday.
Love to you all & have a great day,
Sharon <3
